1. Method to Copy iCloud Drive Files on Your Mac

To make copies of files in iCloud Drive on Mac, you don’t have to go through a difficult period. You are only required to make a copy of the file and save it to a different location for safe keeping.

  • Start by launching the Finder Window on Mac.
  • Now, scroll down and click on iCloud Drive, which you can find on the sidebar of the Finder window.
  • Click on Application, so as to make the copies of the intended files.
  • It is here that you have to Select the Files that you want to copy. To copy multiple files simultaneously, click on one file, then press the Command button and select other file and hold down Shift and choose the files in a row.

2. Method to Copy iCloud Drive Files from File Apps on Your iPhone & iPad

As of now, iCloud Drive is more commonly known as the Files App. So, making copies of files in it and to send the same from your iPhone or iPad for further safekeeping is very much a possibility.

  • Make sure to launch the file app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Under locations, tap on the iCloud drive.
  • To access the files, tap on Applications.
  • From the upper right corner tap on Select.
  • It is here that you have to select the files you want to copy.
  • Tap on Copy icon at the bottom right of the screen.
  • Tap Select again.
  • Herein select the copied files.
  • Now tap on share icon.

Once it is done, select the application in which you want to send the copies.

3. Method to Copy Files from iCloud.com to Your Computer

Fortunately, with iCloud.com, you have the option to make multiple copies of any files that are stored in iCloud Drive from any computer.

  • Open iCloud.com from any browser of your choice.
  • You have to sign in using your Apple ID.
  • Now click on iCloud Drive.
  • To access the files, double-click on the application button.
  • Select the files you want to copy.
  • Look for the download icon, which you will find on the top page. Click on it.
  • The files will then get downloaded into your computer. In the next step, open the Downloads folder.
  • After selecting the copied and downloaded files, drag the same to a safe location, where you can store the backup files.
